'Fishing for Knowledge'
Willow River School sixth-graders enjoy spring-like temperatures on Sturgeon Lake ice fishing with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officers and the crew from Fishing for Knowledge. With holes already drilled for them, the students got down to baiting hooks and watching fishing holes. The DNR and Fishing for Knowledge staff helped everyone get started and were on hand when a fish was landed and then released. Each student went home with a new tackle box and great memories of a day of Rebels ice fishing.
