Teen arrested for school bomb threat

On January 16 Thomson Township Police and the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year-old male in connection with the Esko School bomb threat incident of January 14.

On January 14 at approximately 12:25 p.m., a written bomb threat was found in the Esko School. All students K-12 were evacuated to St. Matthews Church.

Eddie Michael Edwards of Esko was arrested for Felony Terroristic Threats and is currently in custody at the Carlton County Jail awaiting formal charges by the Carlton County Attorney’s Office.
