Student Council fills more than 100 shoeboxes with gifts
Moose Lake Community Schools
Once again the Moose Lake High School Student Council collected toys, school supplies, and other useful items from the elementary school students to fill shoeboxes that went to children around the world whose families could not afford to buy gifts for the holiday season.
Once donations were collected, Student Council members met on a Sunday afternoon to sort through the supplies (which took up almost half of the high school library), pack the shoeboxes, label them for the appropriate age group, and bring them to the Moose Lake drop point where they were sent with 600 other shoeboxes from the area to be shipped.
Mr. Borak's third grade class brought in the most items, winning them a pizza party.
