Bombers advance past Wrens

Barnum Bomber Alexis Kettelhut serves in a September 19 match against the Wrenshall Wrens.

The Barnum Bombers hosted the Wrens of Wrenshall on September 19.

The Bombers jumped out to an early lead in the first set, led by M.J. Anderson. Noticeably missing would be Daron Mainville in the front as blocker, but junior Madison Hlavka stepped in and did a nice job filling in for Mainville.

The second set, the Bombers were in for a fight as the Wrens fought hard not to go down two sets, but the Bombers rallied and came from behind to take the second set.

The third set went much the same as the second, with both teams trading point for point. The Bombers were first to put together a rally to force the Wrens out of their comfort zone, ultimately allowing the Bombers to win the night, three sets to none.
