Local bakery featured at 'Minnesota Morning'

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s “Minnesota Morning” featured breakfast pastries from Ma & Pa’s Cozy Little Bakery in Moose Lake June 18. Klobuchar has visited dozens of Minnesota communities in recent months and after tasting favorite local foods, she decided to showcase these Minnesota specialties at her weekly Thursday-morning coffee gatherings in her Washington, D.C. office.
“Ma & Pa’s Cozy Little Bakery is a great example of a Minnesota small businesses thriving in their local community,” Klobuchar said. “It was great to share this Moose Lake bakery’s delicious pastries with our guests at Minnesota Morning.”
Ma & Pa’s Cozy Little Bakery opened this past April and is owned by Tony and Deb Ostlund. Best known for its cakes, pies, fritters and muffins, the bakery makes everything from scratch. With the help of their daughter and in-laws, the Ostlund’s have created a family atmosphere that is welcoming to all Moose Lake area locals. The bakery also takes great pride in their service to veterans, schools and other fundraising efforts in the community.
Klobuchar hosts “Minnesota Morning” every Thursday when the Senate is in session and invites all Minnesotans who are visiting the capital. Visitors can hear first-hand accounts of Klobuchar’s work in the Senate, mingle with fellow Minnesotans visiting Washington, meet the Senator’s staff, and take photographs with the Senator.
