Butkiewicz to participate in Reebok hockey program

The Reebok Minnesota Hockey High Performance 15, 16 and 17 programs are designed to identify the best players in Minnesota and to provide the top players from each district or section a chance to play with and against the best players in the state.

Bryceton Butkiewicz from the Moose Lake Area Hockey Association has been selected among the top 20 players to participate on the District 11 team in the High Performance 15 program. Other players selected are from Hermantown, Marshall, Cloquet, Esko, Duluth East and Duluth Denfeld. The players selected are from all levels — AA, A and B.

The next phase of the program, The Spring Festival, will take place April 26-28 in Edina as the team from District 11 plays against teams from other Minnesota districts.

At the conclusion of the Reebok Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs at the 15, 16 and 17 levels, the top 20-25 players represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival/camp sponsored by USA Hockey involving the best players from each of the USAH districts.

The national festivals/camps are used by USAH to identify the top performers in each age group for possible opportunities to represent the U.S.A. at advanced levels of national and international hockey competition.
