The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels beat the Cook County Vikings by a score of 57-47 on Saturday, January 19.

Rebels nipped
by Eagles in overtime
The 9-4 ML-WR Rebels were nipped 45-44 in overtime by the 6-4 East Central Eagles at Sandstone on Monday, January 14. The teams were tied 19-19 at break and each scored 21 in the second half, but East Central got the win with a 5-4 overtime period.
The Rebels put three girls in the double figures. Kayla Radel led ML-WR with 20 points, Adri Jusczak had 15 points and Taylor Miller had 14 points. Shaelyn Halverson, with a three-pointer, had seven points. Hayley Johnson and Holly Mattison each added two points.

Rebels blanked
by Legacy Christian
The Moose Lake Area Rebels were blanked 9-0 by Legacy Christian Academy on Tuesday, January 15. No shots on goal information was provided, but Gage Mohelsky made 42 saves in the game.
MLA falls 9-1 to Proctor
The MLA Rebels fell by a score of 9-1 to the Proctor Rails on January 17. Zach Paull, assisted by Cole Lower, had the Rebels' lone goal at 14:28 of the second period. Gage Mohelsky had 48 saves for the Rebels who were still looking for their first win.
Rebels lose 4-1 to North Branch
The MLA Rebels lost 4-1 in Moose Lake on Saturday, January 19. MLA was only out-shot 27-26 in one of their best efforts of the season. Gage Mohelsky had 23 saves for MLA.
Cole Lower and Tyler Hoffmann clicked on the power play at 9:00 of the third period, but North Branch got an insurance goal at 10:30 for the final 4-1 tally.
