Bombers sink Mariners

The night of December 14 began with the Barnum Bombers taking the road to Silver Bay to take on the Mariners. The ladies of Barnum would take the floor first with Daron Mainville putting up the first score of the night, jumping out to an early lead. The Bombers continued to dominate with several of the ladies scoring, giving the Bombers a 25-8 lead going into halftime.

The Bombers came out of halftime and continued theie run against the Mariners, resulting with a 52-17 point victory. Cheyanne Johnson led the scoring for the Bombers with 19 points, one offensive and two defensive rebounds, and seven steals. Mainville added 11 points, three offensive and five defensive rebounds, and two steals. Megan Nelson put up seven points, two offensive and one defensive rebound, and four steals. Mariah Parker also added seven points, one defensive rebound, and two steals. Jaelyn Bushey added five points, three offensive and one defensive rebound, and two steals. Lauren Hultgren rounded out the scoring with three points, one offensive and one defensive rebound. Lissa Warpula added one offensive and two defensive rebounds and three steals. Emma Casey added one offensive rebound, and finally Lexi Fuglestad added one defensive rebound.

Barnum boys

The second game of the night would also belong to the Bombers with the boys jumping out to an early 7-0 lead with two three-pointers coming from Daniel Warpula, and a free throw from John Zmyslony.

Zachary Carlson would soon get into the mix adding four points to give the Bombers an 11-2 lead. The Mariners would finally get into a rhythm to close the game to within four points, before the Bombers would once again take control.

The Bombers went into halftime with a 36-17 point lead. The Bombers came out of halftime with a renewed energy, at one point the Bombers went on a 19-point run over the Mariners to give the Bombers a final score of 73-27.

Warpula led the scoring for the Bombers with 27 points, three offensive and two defensive rebounds, nine steals and eight assists. Brandon Newman added 13 points, one offensive and five defensive rebounds, three steals and eight assists. Carlson added 11 points, two offensive and five defensive rebounds, and three assists. Mitchell Weller added six points, two offensive and two defensive rebounds, and one assist. Tory Slater put up four points, two defensive rebounds and one assist. Zmyslony added three points, one offensive and two defensive rebounds. Nicholas Jelinek also added three points, one offensive and three defensive rebounds. Perry Serano had two points and one offensive and one defensive rebound. Samuel Anderson had two points and one offensive and four defensive rebounds. And finally, Chase Peterson added two points and two defensive rebounds.
