CARD OF THANKS
We are 6 or more weeks post flood and when you look around, you would never know that we had a flood that destroyed so much of our town!
The first few weeks of our clean-up was an emotional roller-coaster for the homeowners affected, but with the outreach from the City of Moose Lake, the local churches, Carlton County, CIP, local contractors, local plumbers, local electricians (all who worked over and above their thoughts & mind’s eye!), family, friends and neighbors, we are in recovery and recuperation!
The rural population that encompassed our square miles of devastation may not have qualified the homeowners for FEMA assistance at this point, but the rural residents came to our rescue! Would this happen in a metropolis where nobody knows their neighbors? Think about it. Who went to Louisiana…we did! Who went to East Grand Forks…we did! Who went to Haiti…we did! Who came to us…We did!
THANK YOU to my family & friends, to the Samaritan’s Purse, to the churches, the County, the City of Moose Lake, KGHS/KSDM Radio & Christian Life Chapel from International Falls, Carlson Camp Kid’s, my co-workers, AND all the volunteers who I didn’t even know who came to help!
Hopefully in the future I can recall the name of my property as “My 50’ Feet of Heaven” instead of my 50” of H-E-double hockey sticks! Hopefully I can look out at the peaceful sunrise instead of a wild rapids coming up my driveway!
The tears are drying up and the smiles are coming back to MY face.
THANK YOU ALL
