Barnum flies past East Central in five

 


The Barnum Bombers flew past the East Central Eagles by a score of 16-2 in five innings on Mon., May 14 at East Central. The Bombers only out-hit the Eagles 9-5 in the short game, but Barnum made the most of those hits with two doubles and they took advantage of a half dozen walks.

Lauren Hultgren pitched three innings for the win, fanning two, allowing just two hits and walking none. Freshman Courtney Siekert closed for the Bombers. Devi Henn took the loss for East Central, pitching three innings, with seven hits, two strikeouts, six walks and nine earned runs.

M. J. Anderson led the Bombers with two hits, including a double and she scored two runs. Paige Rilea had two singles and two RBIs. Allainie Hanek-Siltanen had two hits, one RBI and scored a run. Karianna Duesler had a two-RBI double. Cheyanne Johnson had a two-RBI single and Olivia Angell had a one-RBI single for 9-9 Barnum.

Serenity Neumann-Higgins had two hits, including a two-base single turned triple and a one RBI single for East Central. C. White, Kiersten and S. Nelson each had a single for the Eagles. Alisha Beavens had a fielder’s choice RBI.
